After over 10 years of mountaineering in Chamonix, Simon decided to dedicate himself to rock climbing.
In 2005, he got his French Certification for teaching rock climbing (BEES escalade). He has been exploring the crags of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and China.
He finally decided to set up his climbing school in the island of Kalymnos (Greece). The beautiful landscapes, the endless sunshine and the vast climbing potential of the island convinced Simon to settle here from his first visit.
Since then, climbers from all over the world came to share his passion and to take avantage of his experience to improve their rock climbing skills.
He has opened many new routes both in Kalymnos and Telendos from 4 to 9a.
He climbed most of the routes of the island and always has new projects to red point!

Après plus de 10 ans d’alpinisme à Chamonix, Simon Montmory décide de se consacrer entièrement à l’escalade sportive.
En 2005, il passe sa formation de Brevet d’État Escalade et Canyoning (BEES I).
Il grimpe en France, en Espagne, en Italie, en Suisse, au Canada et en Chine. Il décide finalement de s’installer à Kalymnos, Grèce.
L’immense potentiel des Îles de Kalymnos-Telendos le séduisent dès le premier instant. Le paysage magnifique, le soleil et la mer le convainquent d’y installer son école d’escalade.
Depuis, des grimpeurs de partout dans le monde sont venu à Kalymnos partager sa passion et son expérience.
Il se consacre aussi à l’ouverture de nouvelles voies, du 4 au 9a. Ces nouvelles voies sont pour lui une innépuisable source de motivation, et les enchaîner un vrais challenge!
